ZAM Abogados Consultores & Asociados S.A.S. (hereinafter, "ZAM Abogados" or "the Firm") is committed to protecting the personal data of its clients, users and visitors, in compliance with Article 15 of the Colombian Constitution, Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and any rules that amend or supplement them.

02Data we process
Through this website's contact form, WhatsApp, email or in-person service, the Firm may collect: name, email address, phone number, legal area of interest and any information the data subject chooses to include in their inquiry.
Information related to legal matters that the data subject shares with the Firm is additionally protected by attorney-client privilege (Article 74 of the Colombian Constitution and the rules governing the legal profession).
03Purposes of processing
- To attend to and respond to inquiries, requests or requirements submitted by the data subject.
- To contact the data subject by phone, WhatsApp or email in connection with their inquiry.
- To manage the pre-contractual and contractual relationship for the provision of legal services.
- To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations of the Firm.
- To retain the information necessary for the defense of the interests of the data subject and of the Firm.
Personal data is not used for mass advertising and is not sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
04Rights of the data subject
Under Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, the data subject has the right to:
- Know, update and rectify their personal data.
- Request proof of the authorization granted.
- Be informed about how their data has been used.
- File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) for violations of the data protection regime.
- Revoke the authorization and/or request the deletion of their data, where no legal or contractual duty requires its retention.
- Access their personal data free of charge.
05How to exercise your rights
Petitions, inquiries and claims regarding personal data are handled by the Firm's Management, through the email address clientes@zamabogados.com.
The data subject may submit inquiries, claims or deletion requests through that channel, stating their name, the right they wish to exercise and the facts supporting the request.
Inquiries will be answered within a maximum of ten (10) business days, extendable by five (5) more; claims, within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days, extendable by eight (8) more, pursuant to Articles 14 and 15 of Law 1581 of 2012.
06Confidentiality and security
Information is handled internally, within the Firm, under strict confidentiality and attorney-client privilege. ZAM Abogados adopts reasonable technical, human and administrative measures to prevent the alteration, loss, or unauthorized access to or consultation of personal data.
Data is only disclosed to third parties where there is a legal obligation, an order from a competent authority, or where necessary for the management of the professional engagement with the data subject's authorization.
07Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or profiling cookies. If an audience measurement tool is incorporated in the future, it will be aggregate and anonymous in nature, and this policy will be updated.
08Validity
This policy is effective as of its publication. Data will be retained for as long as the purpose of its processing or the legal obligations requiring its retention subsist. Any substantial modification will be published on this website.
